About Professor V.V. Serdyuk's Method

Management of complications of scoliosis (increased intracranial pressure, chronic and persistent headaches, nocturnal enuresis, etc.).

In adult patients, relief of cervical pain associated with blood pressure fluctuations, numbness in the hands, dizziness, migraine. Management of thoracic and lumbosacral pain associated with breath-holding, heart arrhythmia, numbness in the legs, painful menses, constipation, etc.

PROFESSOR SERDYUK DEALS WITH THE PROBLEM FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS. HE HAS MANAGED OVER 9500 PATIENTS. NOW HIS STUDENTS AND COLLEAGUES CONTINUE THIS WORK.

(Citizens of Ukraine, former Soviet Republics and CIS countries, USA, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Germany, etc.)

Professor Serdyuk has 49 years of medical experience, of which 44 as an orthopedic surgeon. In 1982 he received the honorary title of "Honored Inventor of Ukraine" for developing a new direction in surgery of traumatic injuries of large joints using magnetotherapy, as well as for creating new treatment methods and tools and their wide implementation in healthcare. His inventions were used in the treatment of many thousands of patients, including wounded Afghan veterans. Professor Serdyuk is the author of 40 inventions.

Since 1996, he has dealt with the problem of scoliosis in children and adolescents, as well as spinal pain in adults. He personally managed over 9,500 patients.

As a result, Professor Serdyuk made two scientific discoveries: one revealing the mechanism of development of idiopathic scoliosis, and the second establishing the relationship between diseases of internal organs in adults and spinal deformities in children. All this information is presented in his book "Body Asymmetry. Scoliosis. Spinal Pain Syndrome. A New View of an Old Problem," Donetsk, 2010, 392 pp.

Treatment Method

In most cases, the main cause of lateral curvature of the spine is asymmetry of the back extensor muscles. Pelvic tilt due to unilateral spasm of these muscles, combined with elements of underdevelopment of the lumbosacral vertebrae, disrupts spinal-pelvic balance and becomes the trigger for the formation of scoliosis. The severity of this deformity depends on the degree of relative shortening of one leg inherited from the parents.

A curved spine traumatizes all parts of the spinal cord (including its brainstem), nerve endings, ganglia and other structures, which disrupts the normal functioning of both the brain and all organs and tissues. All these changes begin in early childhood and gradually increase. Thus, children with functional scoliosis grow into adult patients with deformed backs, various diseases and pain syndrome.

If scoliotic posture is not corrected in early childhood, then later, in adolescents and adults, functional scoliosis transforms into structural scoliosis. This form is characterized by changes in the anatomical structure of the vertebral bodies (wedge-shaped deformity, underdevelopment of arches, processes, ligaments, discs, muscles, etc.).

NEW, HIGHLY EFFECTIVE AND COMPLEX TREATMENT OF SCOLIOSIS WITHOUT SURGERY OR BRACE DEVELOPED BY PROFESSOR SERDYUK IS BASED ON THE RESTORATION OF NORMAL BIOMECHANICS OF THE SPINE AND PREVENTING THE CONVERSION OF FUNCTIONAL SCOLIOSIS INTO STRUCTURAL.

Practicing the proposed complex (detorsional gymnastics, corrective shoe inserts and magneto-acoustic treatments) can effectively improve scoliotic posture (functional scoliosis) in children with infantile scoliosis (up to 3 years of age) and juvenile scoliosis (4 to 10 years), caused by unilateral spasm of the back extensor muscles. As a result, lateral curvature of the trunk is corrected and the spinal axis becomes correct.

Thus, the sooner we restore the correct position of the spine in children (preferably at the age of 1–3 years), the sooner we make them healthy.

Health is the most valuable thing in our lives and it absolutely depends on the normal function of the spine. Prophylactic treatment is most effective at the age of 1 to 3 years. Come and see us — we are here for you!

A healthy spine in a child is the key to his or her health during the future life!

Every child without exception, beginning from the first months of life, should be examined by a competent orthopedist to draw up an individual program of recreational and preventive treatment.

Scoliosis and Spinal Pain Syndrome

Volumes I & II — Body Asymmetry & Biomechanics, Integrative Solutions for Posture and Pain. For adults, parents, and clinicians seeking a more coherent framework.

Millions of children and adults suffer from idiopathic scoliosis and spinal pain. The author presents two discoveries explaining both scoliosis and many related diseases. Over 25 years, the author treated more than 10,000 patients.
